Passing by a Goodwill gets me every time. It's the thrill of the hunt I suppose. Or getting the most out of every dollar. Either way, I can't pass up the opportunity for a treasure hunt. My heart starts racing and my imagination starts running wild with the possibilities.
Part of the thrill means you might come up empty handed. But it's a risk worth taking.
This week's treasure and transformation: Laminate topped coffee table
After 1 coat of spray primer and 2 coats of latex paint. (I decided later on that the table needed a little something extra to make it special, hence the painter's tape and ruler).
I added a stripe of navy paint and a few coats of poly to protect it.
I was a little hesitant to add the blue stripe, but in the end, I really like the way it turned out. It's the perfect graphic detail to a mostly neutral space.
